TMSG: Officers Serenade Health Care Workers With Frank Sinatra

US-HEALTH-VIRUS

Manhattan, New York police officers are making sure everyone knows to thank health care workers on the front lines of the coronavirus fight.

Every evening at 7 p.m. during the citywide show of gratitude to medical staff, patrol cars with the Upper East Side's 19th Precinct have been blasting Frank Sinatra's "New York, New York."

Andrew Cavagnaro shared a video on social media of the touching moment. He's a teacher in the area and his wife is a nurse practitioner at Lenox Hill in a special COVID-19 unit. He told New York Post,

"To hear that song in trying times shows how special the city is. For both of us the sense of New York pride that song exudes had been really impactful. It's a unifying experience among all of us in the city and it's a bright spot in our day."
