Reba McEntire and fiancé Rex Linn will include “granddogs” an farm animals in their wedding, the country legend shared.

McEntire, 71, recently caught up with ExtraTV. During the interview, she hinted at “low-key” plans for the wedding, which will include “lots of friends and family,” and their beloved animals. “I have two granddogs, Watson and Belle, so they may be the ring bearers or something like that, but we have to have our animals there. We’ve got longhorns and donkeys, horses and everything there at the place, cats, and we just, we have a lot of fun with them.” McEntire also told the outlet that plans keep “being pushed,” because of work schedules, so there’s no date set for the wedding as of publication time on Thursday (May 14).

The Happy’s Place stars announced their engagement on the red carpet at the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards in September 2025. McEntire revealed in an interview with PEOPLE that she and Linn, 69, actually got engaged on Christmas Eve in 2024; however, they opted to wait to make the announcement after the holidays because of the devastating fires that broke out in L.A. in January 2025. McEntire has since talked about the engagement, including with Drew Barrymore, when she said, “we’re loving being engaged. We love planning. So, whenever we get to a point where we can take that time and be relaxed about it and plan the wedding, we’ll be fine with that, too.” During an appearance on TODAY, McEntire said, “a Reba-Rex wedding is going to be very different. It’s gonna be low key, lots of fun, lots of people, lots of food. Our big motto is ‘have fun.’”

McEntire and Linn met on the set of The Gambler Returns: The Luck of the Draw in the early ‘90s. They began dating when Linn invited McEntire to dinner in early 2020, after they’d reconnected on the set of Young Sheldon. McEntire said during an interview on the Jennifer Hudson Show, she shared how they got their nicknames for one another (McEntire is “Tater Tot,” and Linn is “Sugar Tot”). Now, they work together on Happy’s Place.
