Hannah Ellis has welcomed Baby No. 1!
The Kentucky-born singer-songwriter announced on Monday (November 10) that son Huck Humble Richardson made his arrival on November 6. Ellis and her husband, fellow singer-songwriter Nick Wayne, said as they shared the first photos of their newborn son on Instagram: “Huck Humble Richardson made his debut in the wee hours of the full moon on November 6th, at 6:03 am. He is happy and healthy and the Richardsons are home soaking up baby bliss. 🤍🦆🩵”
Ellis and Wayne announced over the summer that they’d “been keeping a secret,” as Ellis spotlighted her growing baby bump for the first time. She shared a few stunning maternity photos to announce, “Baby Richardson coming this November! 🤍”
Shortly after announcing her pregnancy, Ellis shared a glimpse of the adorable gender reveal. Wayne took a swing at a golf ball that would burst into a cloud of either blue or pink dust. Ellis, who watched with family and friends in attendance, called it the “biggest shot of your life.” That shot revealed Baby No. 1 is a boy. Ellis said later that she and Wayne “invited our close friends and family to ‘Swing On Over’ for a little gender reveal last month and it was such a special day. Grateful for how loved this little boy already is! 🩵🩷” Ellis and Wayne publicly shared their son's name for the first time in late October. They said at the time, “Huck, we are ready for you.”
Ellis and Wayne got married in a “romantic and whimsical wedding ceremony and reception” at The Estate at Cherokee Dock in May 2021 in Nashville, Tennessee. According to information shared by the venue, the two artists began dating seven and a half years before tying the knot. They lived across the hall from one another in their apartment building in downtown Nashville, and bonded over music. They got engaged in June 2020. Earlier this year, Ellis and Wayne released “Waiting to Die,” the first original duet they’ve ever recorded. The duet, inspired by Wayne’s grandparents, serves as a tribute to lifelong love.
