Jelly Roll shared “a quick gratitude” moment in the hours ahead of Beautifully Broken’s debut. The trailblazing singer-songwriter delivered his highly-anticipated, 22-track studio album on Friday (October 11).

The reigning CMA New Artist of the Year (and 2024 CMA Entertainer of the Year nominee, among other categories) followed 2023’s Whitsitt Chapel with Beautifully Broken. Jelly Roll's debut country project was titled after a church he formerly attended in his hometown, the Antioch neighborhood of Nashville, Tennessee. Jelly Roll's next chapter also expanded with Beautifully Broken (Pickin’ Up The Pieces). The deluxe edition includes five additional tracks to the record, and each one is a collaboration. Jelly Roll teamed up with Halsey, Keith Urban, ERNEST, Russ, Skylar Grey and mgk on the deluxe album. The expanded version includes Jelly Roll’s previously-released, John Denver-inspired duet, “Lonely Road.” He and mgk also teamed up on “Time of Day” on the original edition of Beautifully Broken. Jelly Roll noted on Friday that “the idea behind this artwork comes from a Japanese practice called kintsugi. The idea is that if something breaks, and it’s worth fixing, you fix it by filling in the cracks with gold. I honestly don’t think anything personifies this record better.” The new record offers deeply vulnerable stories, heartfelt messages and powerful anthems:

Before Beautifully Broken’s arrival, Jelly Roll released “I Am Not Okay,” “Liar” and other tracks. he delivered the debut live performance of the opening track, “Winning Streak,” when he took the stage for his first-ever performance on Saturday Night Live.
