The American Accent That Doesn't Sound American

"Hoi Toider," aka Ocracoke Brogue, is a dialect of American English spoken only on remote islands in North Carolina's Outer Banks. The unique accent and vocabulary developed over hundreds of years as a result of the area's isolation.
