Jelly Roll shared a heartfelt post days after his induction into the legendary Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee.
The three-time Grammy winner, 41, reminisced on his November 2021 debut in the historic Opry circle on stage. Fewer than five years later, on March 10, 2026, Jelly Roll became the newest member of the Opry. The Beautifully Broken star wrote in a caption on Instagram on Sunday (March 15): “It feels like every day I get to wake up and say something like this, but I truly, truly cannot believe I get to say I am now a member of the Grand Ol Opry. I’m from Nashville y’all, born and raised. And now I can get my damn mail at the Opry. That is a story that ONLY God could write y’all. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to each and every one of you that have ever listened to my music. Thank you Nashville. Thank you Jesus.”
Fellow Opry member and “Save Me” duet partner Lainey Wilson inducted Jelly Roll into the Opry. The emotional evening also included appearances by Leanne Morgan, ERNEST and Craig Morgan, who surprised Jelly Roll with an invitation to become an Opry member when Jelly Roll appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience in December 2025. Jelly Roll tearfully said at the time, “it don’t get no bigger in country music.”
“To take a convicted felon from Music City who found country music because I’m from Nashville, and you take that kid who's been in the local juvenile and local county jail, and you bring him here and give him Grammys, awards, and platinum plaques, and then you make him a member of the most prestigious group of the Grand Ole Opry,” Jelly Roll said during his induction. “Every word of that sounded like I’m telling you a lot about myself, but that is a story only God could be the author of. Some stories only God can write. This is truly a God story. I talk a lot more about him now because I'm getting a lot closer to him and I recognize that. I don’t deserve this, I don’t deserve the grace God gave me, but I think that's the best part, right? And yet he gives it all the time.”
Jelly Roll is among the country artists nominated at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards, returning this spring to Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California. See the list of country artists nominated here.
