Simon Whistler is probably my favorite YouTube host and he does a program called Side Projects. In this episode, he talks about the the Begich Tower in Whittier. If you haven't been to Whittier, it's worth the drive, including the passage through North America's longest tunnel. But pay attention to the tunnel schedule. The tunnel is only wide enough for one way traffic and they alter directions on a strict schedule. On top of that, trains use this tunnel, too. One time my family and I got stuck on the Whittier side for most of an afternoon with nothing to do but sight see. Thankfully, the sights are beautiful!
