Garth Brooks is ending his Las Vegas run with a live TV special. The country star will wrap up his run at the Wynn Las Vegas' Encore Theater with a performance next month, to be carried live on CBS.
Brooks is letting viewers know just what they'll see, calling his Vegas show "the soundtrack" of his life. The singer says music was "the life blood" of his family, and his parents and siblings all had their "favorite stuff."
He explains that as the youngest of six kids it "all funneled down" to him, and as a result his influences range from Merle Haggard and George Jones to Otis Redding, Simon & Garfunkel, and Bob Seger.
In Brooks' show he performs his own hits as well as songs from his heroes, and highlights the inspiration he drew from them.
"Garth Brooks, Live From Las Vegas" will air on CBS on November 29th - the day after Thanksgiving - at 9:00 p.m. Eastern. The show will air live except on the West Coast, which will run a tape-delayed broadcast.
